Connection comes first
For very young children, feeling understood is part of learning. A familiar voice, patient attention, and a warm response help make a new environment feel more comfortable. Our program focuses on trust as children begin exploring their surroundings.
Small movements and new discoveries
Early learning happens through the body and the senses. Our program supports gross motor movement, fine motor coordination, and emerging language, with opportunities for children to become more involved in everyday tasks as they are ready.
What Montessori can look like at this age
An adult pauses before helping, giving a toddler time to try. A baby hears clear, gentle language during care. A child explores a simple object and repeats an action. Montessori invites adults to notice these small efforts and respond thoughtfully.
