Montessori TK and kindergarten in Norco
The kindergarten years bring opportunities to connect ideas and take greater responsibility for learning. Our TK and Kindergarten program serves children ages 5 to 6, using Montessori methodology alongside California Common Core standards.
Five connected areas of learning
Language supports communication, reading, and writing. Mathematics develops understanding of numbers and their relationships. Cultural arts include history, geography, and science. Sensorial work refines observation, while practical life connects learning with purposeful daily activity.
Learning beyond core subjects
Our published curriculum also includes physical education, computer class, Spanish, art, music, and dance. These experiences offer different ways for children to express ideas and explore their interests.
What families can look for
When you visit, ask children’s teachers to explain how a lesson develops from a concrete experience toward a more abstract idea. Ask how they decide when a child is ready for something new, and how they communicate progress to families.
