Montessori learning for two year olds
“I can do it” can be a big part of life at two. Our Pre-Primary program gives that growing wish for independence a thoughtful place in early learning.
At Norco Montessori Academy, this program focuses on language, social and emotional development, thinking, and physical skills. We recognize the energy and curiosity children bring to this stage.

A little more independence
In Montessori, everyday tasks can be meaningful work. Putting an item back in its place or taking part in a familiar routine gives a young child something useful to do. The aim is participation, with help available when it is needed.
Finding words and learning together
Two-year-olds have ideas long before they can always explain them. Language gives those ideas a way out. Learning alongside others also brings opportunities to notice feelings, ask for help, and begin understanding shared space.
Room to repeat and explore
Repeating an activity can be a child’s way of working something out. A familiar task may still have plenty to teach. We value curiosity and the confidence that comes from making a discovery for oneself.
